Before she became a yoga teacher, Debra spent more than a decade building a career in global communications. She crafted stories for NBC Universal, and led the public relations for brands including Expedia, Arc’teryx, and lululemon.
She loved the energy of it all — the people, the possibility, and the pace. She was good at the pressure. Good at delivering. Good at being the woman who could make things happen.
But somewhere along the way, she began to notice a quiet distance between the life she was living and the woman living it. She became so accustomed to moving forward that she stopped asking herself where she actually wanted to go.
Yoga became her way back.
Since discovering the practice in 2013, yoga offered Debra something she didn't realize she was missing: a space to slow down and soften the noise, where she could simply breathe, move, and be.
In 2026, that journey brought her to India where she completed her 200-hour multi-style yoga teacher training and became a Yoga Alliance certified instructor.
But her Rewind didn’t happen on the yoga mat alone.
It unfolded during quiet mornings in unfamiliar cities, through precious conversations with strangers, and by giving herself permission to question the life she always assumed she was supposed to want. After exploring more than 55 countries, Debra discovered something she now believes deeply: When we step outside the familiar, we create space to meet parts of ourselves we may have forgotten — or never had the chance to know.
That realization became the heart of The Rewind Retreat, an experience rooted in the simple belief that sometimes, the most meaningful path forward starts by looking back — to the woman you were before the world told you who to be.
Debra created Rewind for women who, like her, may have spent years being capable, responsible, and endlessly in motion. Women who are used to taking care of everyone else, and are now ready to turn some of that care inward.
You don’t have to have your life figured out. You don’t need to become someone new. You simply need a little space to listen, explore, play, reflect, and remember what already lives within you.
Her hope is that you leave a little lighter, a little more grounded, and a little more at home in yourself.
